Our Projects
At EVI, we are committed to creating positive environmental impact in the Northern Region of Ghana and beyond. Our projects aim to address critical environmental challenges while involving local communities, schools, and volunteers. Here are some of the initiatives we are passionate about:
Trees Planting
We organize tree planting events to restore degraded lands, enhance biodiversity, and combat climate change.
Waste Management
Our waste reduction efforts involve awareness campaigns, household use of waste bin, and responsible disposal practices.
Water Conservation
We improve water quality and availability through rainwater harvesting systems, use of boreholes, and water filters.
Renewable Energy Adoption
EVI supports the transition to clean energy sources such as solar, wind, and biogas.
Home Gardens and Urban Agriculture
We encourage sustainable organic farming practice, crop diversification, and food security through home gardens and urban Agriculture.
Schools Environmental Clubs
We engage students in environmental activities, fostering awareness and stewardship.
Riparian Restoration
EVI works on restoring riverbanks and wetlands. Planting native vegetation along river courses to prevent erosion, improves water quality, and provides habitat for aquatic species.
Green Building Initiatives
EVI collaborates with architects, builders, and homeowners to promote energy-efficient and eco-friendly building designs. We encourage the use of locally sourced, renewable materials and incorporating solar panels or rainwater harvesting systems.
